1. For this book i think the most disturbing and sad part was when they toture Romek. By beatin him, putting a hot metal stick from the fireplace into his lefy eye and ripped out his tongue. Which i think was really hard to read but also really sad to read and hear about from David and the book.
2.He pours the coffee and serves bread i believe. He goes through the time pretty well until some other person get's his job. And the boy who took his job knew him and he ask's for extra food and coffee and he said no and other mean thins. So he didnt talk to him. A difficulty was when there was a group of little kid's get sent to the coal mine. And David goes as the translater because he's fimilar with many languages because of his mom. I think that was the best camp that he stayed in because he had 4 friend's and they stuck together. And Finci helped him get extra clothing's that David sold to get more food. And he was really smart by keeping bread before him and the other's left that camp.
3. At the last week's of the war there was no more soup and people were eating the flesh of the dead bodies. He got really weak and got Typhus like the doctor that he met. And he met Chaim who ended up being left behing because he never tell's them to come back for Chaim. And it was the hardest and walking wasn't a choice for him because he was so weak.
4. I think he thought it was all a dream at first which he did. I think he also knew he had to survive that's why he crawled to the sidewalk because he promised his mom that he would live and i think he was just so proud of him self because at times he wouldn't of made it but he got lucky. Which is good and i think that even though he really didn't say it i think he was very happy on the inside.
5. I think that it should be read by every middle and high school because it's sometihng that was tragic history and kilt alot of people. We read Martin Luther King's speech and other things that changed the world. The Holocaust happened during World War 2 and it reduce the amount of Jewish people in the world. They totured and killed people just for being different and then people who werent Jewish but stood up when they thought it was wrong were stuck as Kapo's which were people who leading the captured to many places. Some Kapo's were even killed for being so cruel and broke a rule and became one of the Priosner's and ended up dying like Kapo Potok. I think that it's necessary to read but i dont reccemend it to Elementary school's because alot of tragic things happen and they just might not understand all the content. But it's a big part of our History and even though it's kind-of disgusting but it's something that young kid's could learn from. Some people think they have it hard now but what the Nazi's did was worse. Way worse.

The purpose of this project was to learn about the renaissance and people who are famous from the renaissance. In order to learn about the renaissance we had to learn about the art from the time and the difference between renaissance and medieval. Another purpose was to learn about someone who has historically changed the world of made a difference from the renaissance. For ex. I was Pope Leo X and i helped the Medici family keep it's wealth and regain most of it. He kept people like Michelangelo working which lead to many Renaissance art's.

Time: 2 weeks [ very long ]
There is a book and i forget the name. But i think it's Love Bones. And it's about a girl who get's raped by her nieghbor. In his shed. After she get's raped he kills her. And when the police find her elbow because of a dog her Little sister throw's up. But the story is about a young girl who was 14 and dies from her neighbor. She watches over her family during the time and wishes that the neighbor was dead not her. A long time after her little sister is grown up and is expecting a child.This story was very long and sad. She meets people in heaven and talk. Some younger than her some older. In heaven there was different streets and different alley's that you lived on. It seemed all nice until she see's someone who seems mean like he doesnt belong in heaven.But this story made me cry and i think is a higher level in reading.

Skate Board Tough

There's this boy named brett who find's a skateboard which is named The Lizard. Immediatly he learn's all these trick's and could do all these amazing things on a skate board that he could never do. He became better than everyone. But there was something about that skateboard that made it think of it's own pretty much. The skateboard was evil. Brett became to turn bad himself and talk back to his mother.Which his dad doesn't think is good, but who wouldn't? His mom didn't really support him but she always wanted him to follow his dreams.

Romek Post #3
1. I think that it was amazing that he could share that because it was really sad and tragic. And he told 3 main part's of the story. But it made me cry because everything was so hard to take in and i really appeciate him coming and telling us because i think that his life was tragic and hard so i appeciate that he could talk about it and tell our school.
2. I think that his aprenice i would say it's kind of weird but i think that he worked for them for both their goods. But sadly it set on fire. But David Survived. I think Romek was happy about him because his brother is taking everything very well. And i think that also because he knew what he did was either way was going to get him killed and he knew that he would probably haft to see him die. That's hard to watch
3.I think because he really didnt know. And Romek most likely did. And he probably thought he wouldnt make it to the ghetto after just being thrown down stairs. And i think he also thought that either way David was going to die and was either going to be killed by starvion or shot by the Nazi's

Romek Post #2
1. The pigeon became important because his pigeon brung friends. Then one day the pigeon's didnt come and that was the day that the pigeon's didnt come so the mom sensed something was wrong. So they hid in the hollow wall Romek made, not even 30 minutes later they heard loud footsteps and the door being busted into. The Germans had came and were looking but since everyone was hiding they said: No ones here. And left which was good because maybe the family probably wouldnt be able to all get in the hideout quick enough and kept them all safe.
2.The Pustkew vacation camp is a place for catched Jews that do work and cut down tree's. I dont know if they were all Jewish. But i think they call it vacation camp's because when your on vacation you leave home. And they leave home and go somewhere but it's not a relaxing place. So im really not sure why they call it Vacation Camp's.
3. Questions :
A. What do you think made you special to survive, while other's died?
B. Do you think yoou would of rathered suffered to survived or just died like some other's?

Romek Post #1
1. I think that Hitler was cruel because there is no need to kill people because of their religion and its sad. I also learned that the Germans just went in the houses and killed them there. They also used to have them make ditches and then shoot them and they would fall in the ditches they dug ( kind of like making your own grave)
2.Well David Faber's family is a nice sweet family. And his father almost got killed. His sister is safe because she lives in England or Paris. But the rest of the family stay's in Powland. But they move alot. Sonia is the youngest. And Fella is the oldest.
b.) I think he remembers it all because it's something that you just cant forget and move it and it's really sad. But that's when it started which is probably the hardest time.

The purpose of this project was to learn about Aztec culutre and how they did stuff back then. Like their social classes or how they ate. Learned and tought eeach other. In purpose to learn about this project we visited Chicano park to see Murals draw under the Cornado Bridge. We also had a morning assiment were we learned about the Aztec ways.

I always like Skittles __Verb__ class. Skittle’s is my best friend. He always seems to _Adjective__ like chicken. Project Title: Mc Website Project

PURPOSE
In this section, explain what you were supposed to learn and what you were supposed to do.
The purpose of this project was to make a website based on Moral Courage. You were susposed to learn about what your group had chosen to do their site on. We were also susposed to learn how to make a site and make sure your not stealing others work. There was ways we learned on how to prevent on doing that (will talk about it later). We were susposed to choose a subject that had to do with Moral Courage. Then write 5 pages each about the subtopic you were in charge of. For example: Subject:: Global issues, Subtopic: Water Pollution. Things like that. Then make your own site. With profesional work on it. The site needed to be a good form and not contain any stolen work. Then submit the site.
WHAT I LEARNED
In this section, tell what academic information or skills you learned or improved.
I improved on working with Dream Weaver and paraphrasing . Dream weaver is a feature on our computers, that spealizes on making sites like our DP's. And Paraphrasing is taking someones work and putting it in your own words. The first time we had Paraphrasing i had 10/10 so i think i did good on that. Information that i found out was more about the world's danger since we did Global Effects. Including: penguins, Seals, Sea turtles, Water pollution, and Global warming. I mostly focused on Water pollution and Penguins. And i learned about how it effects the animals and how it can be caused by Global Warming. Or the other way around. Which i can take into considerate and change my ways and help save the planet.

I liked working on dream weaver mostly on the proeject. And i liked this project actually alot because it was fun and educational. Which is what my school is based on. Project based learning. I was incharge of information concerning Water Pollution. Which wasnt to hard but could be complicated at times. Next time i think i would try harder to finish the page. I wouldnt like to say i didnt use my time wisely but i would prepare my self more. I think that this project was a way of us students learning about subjects by our selfs. Which is kind-of cool if you think about it.
WORK HABITS
Complete the following section about your work habits. How did you manage your time in and outside of class? What parts of the project were you responsible for? What strategies did you use when you had difficulty understanding or completing the project?
I think i did manage to do my time in and outside of class. Because i leaving around 5:45 and i got to work, in Ms.Interlandi's room during that time. I think my main diffuclty was having Justin in my group.Which didn't realy turn out to be a big problem. We settled our differences and worked well together and communicated well. I think i had a hard time submitting the actual site. Infact my whoel group did because the pictures werent uploading right. And it ended up being Thinkquest's issue not ours. Another difficulty was getting everyones page in exact order. Like penguins, seals, sea turtles, and coral reef ; all needed to be in the same format as each other.

Book: How my life changed by Todd Strasser
This book is about a boy who is a star quarter back and he cant play after he injures his knee. A girl Bo decides to change almost her whole life style. Like wearing make up and loosing weight. Well it starts to catch kyle's (the ex star quarter back). And they become friends. But Bo decides that she wants to be more than friends. And its all about young love. At the end of the book Bo changes her name to Delia and decidedes for everyone to call her Dee for short.

Book: Forever Ramona
I first stubbled onto this book when i was eight. And i still love it. It's about a girl named Ramona around the age of nine. She has an older sister named Beezus. This book has so much going on. Her uncles getting married. Her cat Picky dies and they burry him in their backyard. And to top it off, Mrs.Quimby is having a baby. I believe they named the baby Albie. This book has so many feelings and emotions put into it. Its only 182 pages. I say that because the font is kind of big and it features 3 drawn pictures or so. I dont read this book anymore. But i remember quite alot to have read it 3 years ago. Or 5 years ago. But this book is the best book ever and ill always keep it FOREVER. (ramona forever)

1. I think Melinda really is having a hard time. Heather even ditched her. How messed up could Heather possibly be. And her parents are blowing the issues out of porportion. And it's kind of sad that the only person that she can atually tell is Mr. Freeman

1. Melinda is just a girl who's life isnt falling into place at the moment. Even though she tries it seems that nothing is happening. Her grades arent that great. And makes her parents argue. She has the idea that her parents would of been divorced if they didnt have her. And pizza seems to answer all the dinner problems they have. Melinda has never told her parents about the party. She has stated she was going to a friends and got home before anyone else did. But now she's afraid that everything that happened and the fact she even went will be revealed to the two people she doesnt even want to know about it. Shes starting to cut her self with paper clips. Not so good and she's a little clumsy like in class with the chisel. It hurt me when i heard that Mr.Freeman ripped his canvas. :[
2. Its real difficult to read about this. I think i found out who raped her. I think its this Andy guy. She seems to call him IT. I would too. She cant stand the fact of being around him. So she ends up running. Its tragic to hear about this and diffucult to have this happen.

Independent : Running Loose #2
Time: 2 hours
Pages read: 76-131
Now hes quit the team and he's just glad that Becky doesnt care about that. Some people see him as a quiter but he knows what he did was right. Well becky invites him to stay at the cabin with her. But he gets suspended from school because he didnt say sorry to the coach. But he gets back. One day he goes to a reasturant and see's washington and an old friend named Sally. Well when becky and him go to the cabin shes ready for sex but he isnt. So she just takes it slow and sayd you dont haft to have sex to make love. And they just layed their as the evening faded away. A couple days after Louie is at school and one of beckys friends tell him: Beck's got in a acident and weel thngs didnt work out. She was driving when a 13 year old kid driving a motorcyclle got in the way. She swurved off the bridge. He replied; she always wears a seatbelt. And her friend said: she hit the windseld shes dead. Im sorry.
He ran towards the bridge to see the ambulance and he thinks he can save her . The water there isnt that deep and while hes runnin down the hill. A friend stops him and says: Damn it Louie , stop her blood is down there. Thankfully to get him back up.
He drove around for a while and thought it would be good to visit Becky's dad. He lets him in and they talk. He realizes that Becky and her dad were really close.
Becky's mom had the funeral at this big church but even though it was big there was people outside standing listening to the service. He came in a t-shirt and levi pants because he had when to river where him and Becky first actually talked. He cut down the tree after screaming to god. At the funeral he makes an outburst because the speaker knew nothing about Becky but was talking about her. His old team mates tried to calm him down, Even Boomer. He ran out of the church and stayed in the car for hours. Even schools were closed at 11:30 so kids could get to the fnueral by 1. He stayed in the car until he drove down to the bar which stil had the closed sign on it. But the owner came otherwise as his friend. They talked and soon he let the tears come out. As he said atleas 5 pounds of it came out of his eyes. He started talking and everything about it and blaming god. Because of he hated the saying : His wonderful ways to do things. Well then his friend was saying that you cant blame everything on god. Making actuall sense for once. I mean he hasnt even past the 3rd grade. He asked Louie: if a car was comming at you while your outside. Would you want god to move you? Louie replied. I probably run out of the way by myself. His friend says then after that: Then dont blame god when you get hit.
Louie went home and didnt eat. He was sorry for the outburst at the funeral. He had something good come to him and leave soon. Even becky's dad said: I dont see how you could go through it. Someone you loved leaving you so early. I couldnt take it.
Louie said: I have nothing else to do.
His life has pretty much gone down te drain to him. And he's lost.
I have a bad feeling on whats happening next.

Independent reading : Running loose
So far its about a football team in a small town in idaho. And a boy named loiue is on there. And recently got the ''best'' girlfriend at the school. everyone has a cursh on her. Well the whole town is into football so on game days everything closes up early. One guy on the team is racist to blacks because his dad got beat up by a few (whole team is white). The coach even calls black people negros. Well on this other team theres this black guy and they plan to hurt him because hes good. And they dont want to loose. So the racist guy slams him real hard onto the bench and almost killed him.So louie gets real mad and quits the football team because of him. Louie has 4 fake teeth in the front of his mouth because of baseball incident in his fresh man year.

Answers to final post
1.I agree on what hes standing for. And i think it was smart for him not to go back to the school after he won.Either way he didnt like being treated wrong and it was something he didnt like. No one can force you to do something. And i agree strongely on his decisions.
2. No, i think that its ok to sing or hum the anthem.For his teacher to purposely kick him out every morning for that i think is dumb. Hes doing what he think is right. This is a free country
3. My favorite character i think is actually both of his parents. Mr and mrs. Malloy because at sometimes they can be so clueless on whats going on.But sometimes really concered like even though phillip won he refused to go back to the school. And they argue with each other bout' it.

Book Review
The book i choose to review is : A mango shaped space
A mango shaped space is about this girl who see's numbers in a different way instead of just seeing them as 1 2 or 3 she sees them in colors. And since she was 6 shes been afraid someone might remember what happened: She was presenting a math problem and she couldnt finish it because she only was using the white chalk. And when she started using the colored chalk the teacher said '' this isnt art class''. But she thought every saw letters and numbers in colors. ONl to figure out she was wrong. During the summer before 8th grade she meets this little boy at the market who saw numbers and letters in colors too. She told him her name and it was a green with a candy apple red. But he said no its a purple with blue. Or something like that. Which made her think that she was seeing everything in the wrong way. She has that taunting in her head since that day. But when she starts 8th grade she thinks she can just forget him only to noticed that he has a older sibling that goes to that school, causing her to see him after school when she gets on the bus. Mya only has one bestfriend. Whos mother died from breast cancer. They fight over petty things but they stay friends. Mya has a cat and she named in him mango. People think she named him mango because of his eyes but really he reminds her of the color of a mango. Mango was found on Mya's grandpa's grave. I think that if someone believed in after life. The cat respresents the grandpa to her. And the Cat Mango actually dies at the end =[[
