So far from the Bamboo Grove:: Final Post

.I was kind-of mad at the end of the story because i wanted to know how her life ended out. And all i knew was that she had found her Honorable brother. I think that its not really satifify because i personally wanted to see how Yoko,Ko, and Hideyo lived and how they reacted we they figured out that their dad was alive 6 Years later. I think that one issue that remained un said was that Ko and school, was she going to go back to school now that her brother was there and had their moms saving book? Or is Hideyo ever going to start going to go to school their, or get a job there. Will Yoko ever get new shoes, or does she wait a while . How did Hideyo react when he saw this mothers urn. Do they ever move out of the warehouse? How does Ko react to seeing her Honorable brother?

.I think they keep their traditions because thats all they have left pretty much from the past. I also think that they keep them because its not like theyve changed their religion their going to keep what they do.And they dont have much now so they try to do as much as they can to keep their religion and race through all the drama and tragedy over the time. They also lost so much over the time and the most they can do is celebrate with the little they have.

.I admire and respect Ko the most. She has been strong and willing through out the whole time. Since the train, the walk, the accident, the boat ride, the death of her mom, and living in a warehouse. Shes done so much like quitting school to go straight to work because she needs to keep Yoko safe. I think if they did the travel without Ko they wouldnt of made it. Ko put all her work into things. Lead the way.And was demanding to make them listen. Sometimes mean things might slip her mouth. But imagine if you were in that position and didnt know excatly which way to go and how to get there. You dont know whats going to happen next. Or when your going to get there. Thats stress and through all of that shes been able to keep it real. Shes also very smart. Like how she didnt use Mothers money at first and only to use it for saftey reasons. And to learn to do amazing things. Like sew white silk with colored string and not see the string colors at all. I think that shes giving and caring. And i respect what she did and how she did it. God bless you Ko.

.Ive learned so much from this novel. Like how they killed people that didnt just want tobe communist. Which is really sad. Another thing i learned is that they had a border pretty much of south Korea and North Korea and its rare when you pass (by swimming) and is alive. I learned that the Japanese or koreans lost the war. I cant really remember. Ive learned that the Koreans didnt play they would kill hard. And wouldnt settle for less!. I think that i also learned that some people can be cold hearted and others will open their arms up to help.

.You could learn about the bombs. They would drop them, not caring who it killed, or how people would now because their bodies dissinagrated. You could also learn how people could be so mean without caring. For example the girls at the school treat Yoko with no respect at all. But i bet if someone talked to them of they thought about it for a while they would notice that its just plain wrong. You could also learn that sometimes it takes something bad to happen to learn something.Like when Yoko's mom died they learned how to do things on their own.Actually since they had to flee they started learning how to take care of things on their own. You learn so much from this novel that its amazing.
